About the Artist

My first introduction to clay was at a 6 week pottery class through Adult Community Education, mainly to get out of the house and away from teenage kids for 2hrs a week.

The tutor encouraged us to make something wild, imaginative and out of the ordinary…..not an ashtray, a pot or a bowl.

So I created my first piece….”George”….and my love of clay was ignited.

Connecting more with my inner self,  the Goddess, the Earth and earth energies, I started combining my love of clay and making  my versions of Willendorf, Artemis, Sheela Na Gig, White Tara…..the list goes on.

My thirst for knowledge and understanding of the glazing process drew me back to Northern Rivers NSW to study a Diploma in Ceramics at Lismore TAFE. Ballina is my base now though I spend a few months each year up north.

As my awareness has increased of what is happening with our Earth – Mama Gaia –  her dis-ease and cosmic imbalances,  I’ve been working more with Ley Lines, Songlines, Stargates and Starlines and combining the Earth-healing energies with the clay, intuitively creating pieces that not only have a visual and tactile appeal but can be used as lithopunctural pieces on the Earth……Earth acupuncture I suppose you could call it.

The majority of my work stems from this perspective, though I am pottering about with functional ware. Regardless of what it is you can be guaranteed its made with Love and passion and imbued with the energies of the Earth and the Stars……that is  EarthStar Creations.
